Greg Bourbonnais – Bio
Greg started playing guitar at 11 in LA to perform at YMCA campfires.
He was immediately attracted to the songs and styles of John Denver, James Talyor, and Dan Fogelberg.
He got into musical theatre in high school…where he sang, acted, danced, and ultimately pursued a career in acting for a short while in the 80’s. While acting, he played in several bands in LA as well.
After moving to SATX in 2007, he taught his son guitar and supported his early music career.
This effort led to making an album with local TX musicians and producers Cass Grady and Dub Robinson of Drugstore Cowboys…and a 5 song CD was produced.
To support the album Greg and son began playing around town and ran across the Butch Morgan/Olmos Pharmacy open mic (now at The Pigpen) which got both father and son on stage.
Greg specializes in acoustic classic rock that highlights his strong vocals and fingerpicking guitar style.
