Debbi Walton spent decades perfecting her brand of bluesy soul, performing in numerous clubs, festivals, and venues alongside notable acts like Delbert McClinton, Stephen Bruton, The Los Lonely Boys, Eric Johnson, and Willie Nelson. After an extended hiatus, she found renewed inspiration in Italy through a collaboration with Fabrizio Poggi, a master blues harmonica player and producer. Her performance on Poggi’s critically acclaimed album “Spirit And Freedom” garnered significant praise, reigniting her passion for music.
In 2011, Walton began working on her album “Sweet State Of Mind,” produced by Poggi and his band. The project featured contributions from esteemed musicians, including Bob Mangolin and Carolyn Wonderland. Released in Europe, the album was supported by a summer tour of Italian festivals in 2012. With plans for a U.S. release and additional European tours, Debbi Walton’s return to the music scene has been marked by strong performances and a tight, grooving band.
