With roots in R&B/Soul, N.O.A draws inspiration from a plethora of styles including Hip-Hop, Funk, Jazz, and World genres to create a unique and powerful sound. Soulful vocals and electrifying live performances have earned her recognition in the Austin music scene, where she has been performing professionally since 2011.
Her debut record, In Your Dreams, released February 3, 2023 and features collaborations with notable Austin artists like Grooveline Horns, D-Madness, and Tray God Tha MC. She has featured as vocalist and writer on several recent projects including Iram Reyes’ From Where I Stand (2023) and on Universal Seedz’s EP Rise Up (2020).
Viewing music as a profoundly spiritual endeavor, N.O.A is dedicated to using her craft to represent raw authenticity that includes genre-bending and cultural flexibility.
Landing the award for KUTX Song of the Day on November 14, 2023, her single release, Ba Li, hit the radio as”a fierce one-off,” according to the station. Featuring international producer CHR0N!AC, the Trap/Soul anthem touts a message of investigating available information and listening more deeply to intuition.
Jumping genres with her Pop/Soul 2024 single release, We End Up Dead, N.O.A speaks directly to the division created by rising social injustice and collective political tension. With so much worldwide conflict, violence and unrest the lyrics push the question, how do we want to live? Here and now? Life is short.
Inspired by vintage sounds of the 70’s and hidden gem B-sides, her latest EP, N.O.A & The Goodest Ones, pays homage to Soul/Rock styles and R&B vulnerability.
The single off the EP, It Ain’t Nothing, nails retro-rock groove ballad with sincerity.
Electric performances, a little funk, and heartfelt lyricism, N.O.A delivers a world class sound that emanates authenticity, the cornerstone of Soul.
Catch NOA live at her residency with her band N.O.A & The Goodest Ones every 4th Wednesday at Half Step in Austin, Texas.
