ALTSTADT’S SECOND BREWERY OF THE YEAR HONOR IN 2026

The U.S. Open Beer Championship, one of the premier competitions celebrating American brewing excellence, has announced its 2026 medal winners, Breweries of the Year, and Grand National Champion. As the third-largest beer competition in the United States, this year’s event drew entries from breweries across the country and around the world — from Alaskan Brewing in Juneau to Damm Brewing in Barcelona, Spain — spanning more than 180 categories and subcategories.

Altstadt earned Brewery of the Year in the 5,001-5,000 Barrel category.

Altstadt Lager won Gold in the Munich Helles category

Altstadt Kolsch won Gold, for the second time, in the German Kolsch category

Peach Radler won Gold, for the fourth time, in the fruit beer-peach category

And Altstadt Pils won Silver in the German Pilsener category
